The Name - Yoga Mary
I had been travelling in India for two months when I met and joined a tour group with Samsara Asia in Bhutan. There were two other Marys on the trip, three Marys on a trip half way around the world… wow! Everyone knew I had been in India studying yoga and gave me the name “Yoga Mary”. I am honored to have been given that name.
Together we trekked part of the Jomolhari Loop over six nights and five days in the Himalayas of Bhutan. Upon our departure some of the group spent time in Nepal, some returned directly home and I returned to India. I am grateful to have crossed paths with the amazing, thoughtful people I met on this journey.
Uttara Bhadrapada
Uttara Bhadrapada is “The Pilgrim Soul” in Sanskrit. The literal translation is “she who possesses extremely lucky feet”.
I am exactly that, a Pilgrim Soul. I am a travelling soul and the entire world is my home. I am being guided on a journey, not around the world, but within.
The universe does provide answers if we are willing to sit in the silence and listen.
I cannot take credit for the quote below, it came from AI’s description of me (kind of eery). It is cute and constructed very well; therefore, it is worth sharing. By the way… the other words are all me.
